Privacy notice

Who we are

RateMySociety is run by Signalcore Resourcing Private Limited, Office 824, Geras Imperium Rise, Hinjewadi Phase 2, Pune 411057, Maharashtra, India. Questions or requests: complaints@ratemysociety.com.

What we collect and why

• Your mobile number: to check that you are a real person, and to send you a verification message or an upload link on WhatsApp or SMS.
• Your flat number and role (tenant, owner or broker): to link your answers to a flat in Trident Towers and to check you live or own there.
• Your answers: to work out scores and facts about the society, owners, tenants, brokers and builders. Answers are fixed choices only. There is no free-text comment box.
• One proof document you send us (for example a rent agreement, rent receipt, maintenance bill, property tax receipt, share certificate, sale deed or MahaRERA agent certificate): only to check your role and flat. We check it within about a day and then delete the file, and always within 7 days. We keep a short record that your proof was checked (the type of document, the date and who checked it), but not the document itself.
• A record of your consent (the date, time and version of this notice): to show that you agreed.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your Aadhaar or PAN number. If one appears on a document, please cover it. We never ask about anyone's religion, caste, marital status, food habits or profession.

What other people can see

Other residents see only your role, such as "Verified tenant", inside scores and facts. They never see your name, mobile number or flat number, and never see your individual answers. Scores are shown only after at least 5 verified residents have answered.

If a rating is disputed

Owners, tenants, brokers, societies and builders can dispute a rating. We may ask the people involved to share evidence at that time. We do not keep tenancy documents in order to settle disputes.

Who we share data with

Only service providers that help us run the service, such as Google (for the form and spreadsheet) and our WhatsApp and SMS messaging providers. They handle your data only on our instructions. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We may share data if a law or a court requires it.

How long we keep it

• Proof documents: deleted after checking, and within 7 days at the latest.
• The short note that a proof was checked: kept for as long as your answers are kept.
• Mobile number, flat number and answers: kept while your role in the flat is current, and for 12 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• ask what data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or delete it;
• withdraw your consent: email complaints@ratemysociety.com with the subject "Withdraw consent". It is as easy to withdraw as it was to give. We will stop using your answers in future scores.

Questions and complaints

Write to the Grievance Officer, Signalcore Resourcing Private Limited, at complaints@ratemysociety.com. We will reply within 7 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Who this is for

This service is for adults aged 18 or over.

How we protect your data

Only authorised, designated employees of Signalcore Resourcing Private Limited can open the responses. Access needs two-step verification, and proof files are kept private and deleted after checking.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we will update this notice and ask for your consent again where needed.
